We are currently accepting clients immediately with NO WAIT for psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and families. Our seasoned team provides expert care for complex mental health, attachment, trauma, dissociation, parenting, and adoption. Our clinicians have advanced training in a variety of evidence-based trauma-informed approaches for treating children, youth, adults, and families, including psycho-biologically and somatic based approaches, such as EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, SMART, Brainspotting, and Safe and Sound Protocol.

We also work with issues related to divorce including: co-parenting, high-conflict families, parenting plans, Voice of the Child and Section 30 assessments.

I am a registered psychologist with competencies in clinical work with children, adolescents, and families, as well as forensic work with adolescents. I focus on working with those struggling with dysregulation (big emotions and big behaviours), self-harm, attachment, and sexual behaviour issues related to histories of adversity, complex developmental trauma, adoption related issues, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, high-conflict parenting dynamics, and involvement with the child welfare, family court, and criminal justice systems. I regularly provide consultation and trainings in the areas of child development, parenting, trauma, attachment, trauma-informed approaches, and high-risk, complex youth. I have expertise in conducting forensic assessments (e.g., Parenting Assessments, Juvenile Forensic Risk Assessments, Secure Treatment Assessments, Expert Opinion for civil and child welfare matters).

Registered social worker with extensive experience working with diverse children, youth, and families in the child welfare, mental health, and youth criminal justice systems.
Specializes in working with children and youth who have experienced developmental trauma, adverse childhood experiences and those involved in the child welfare system. Specifically, I have competencies working in the areas of attachment, disruptive behaviors, grief and loss.
I embrace a strength-based approach that empowers children and families to work through complex issues impacting their overall mental health and well-being.
At the Ottawa Centre for Resilience (OCFR) I use a brain-based approach to improving the problems children and youth come struggle with in an effort to increase their daily functioning. These services are grounded in an understanding of child development and how stress and adversity can derail healthy development.
