Aptitudes sociales et à la vie quotidienne
Les habiletés sociales et les aptitudes à la vie se réfèrent aux habiletés nécessaires pour interagir avec les gens. Ceci inclut la capacité d'initier un contact avec les autres, se faire et garder des amis. Cela inclut des capacités de communication (tel pouvoir s'affirmer) ainsi qu'être capable de résoudre des conflits (comment régler un différend avec un autre). Les habiletés sociales ne viennent pas toujours naturellement et il existe plusieurs troubles où elles peuvent être amoindries. Chez les enfants, ceci inclut presque toujours des problèmes reliés au spectre de l'autisme (tel Asperger) ainsi que des troubles d'apprentissage, comme une difficulté d'apprentissage non-verbal ou un trouble de l'hyperactivité (HTA ou THADA).
