Anxiety has been said to be the #1 epidemic of the 21st Century and yet it is normal and necessary for human life. When understood and experienced differently, it guides our adaptation and ability to be resilient.
Dr. Bitter will use demonstrations to teach how Adlerian practices can powerfully and effectively shift clients’ relationship with anxiety. He will present the how-to’s of using early childhood recollections and narrative techniques to quickly identify the core of anxiety issues.
This clinical workshop will offer participants:
•ways to reframe and redirect anxiety reactions of clients and patients,
•an understanding of the cognitive beliefs and coping strategies that fuel anxiety,
•observation of and practice the use of early childhood recollections and life narratives as a way to reduce anxiety and create new options.

An afternoon workshop for psychotherapists, counsellors, social workers, physicians, psychologists, clergy, and others who are interested in effective approaches for clients coping with high anxiety and challenging circumstances.Anxiety has been said to be the #1 epidemic of the 21st Century and yet it is normal and necessary for human life.
