Schizophrénie et psychose
La schizophrénie est une maladie mentale grave où l'individu a des problèmes à percevoir la réalité, ce qui cause d'importants problèmes de fonctionnement. La schizophrénie est caractérisée par des symptômes de psychose, qui incluent des fantasmes (croire quelque chose même s'il n'existe aucune preuve ou qu'on a l'évidence du contraire) ou des hallucinations (voir ou entendre des choses que les autres ne voient ou n'entendent pas). À noter que les symptômes d'une psychose (fantasmes, hallucinations) peuvent exister dans d'autres troubles que la schizophrénie, comme dans une dépression sévère, une dépression bipolaire, et différents troubles médicaux.
